This year CHRC hopes to have a number of training events - Confirmed dates are below with more to be posted shortly...but in the meantime have a look at what we are planning.... |
Show Jumping Training As the Showjumping training has proved to be so popular we will continue to run this at Cross Lanes through the spring please keep your eye out on club web site for more details. Please contact Sara Allmey on allmey@hotmail.com or CHRC 07739 514570 for bookings BHS Riding & Road Safety I would like to organise a BHS Certificated, Riding & Road Safety Test in the summer when the evenings are lighter. The test consists of 3 parts; a theory section of 10 questions; a simulated road test (off road) and a road test. It will involve training of at least 8 hours, hopefully split into 2 hour sessions, weekly, leading up to the test. A BHS trainer will come and take these sessions and another for the test. The test itself would cost £30 for BRC, Pony Club or BHS members and the training, hire of the venue etc would be extra. In order to proceed with this I need to know who would be interested so I can work out costs etc. Obviously the more we have the less it will cost. I need a minimum of 8 people, 12 years and over. The venue has yet to be decided on but I am hoping to hold it locally to our other training sessions. Horses can ideally be shared 3 people to one horse for training, but 2 people to 1 horse for the test. Please let me know if you would be interested in this by leaving me a message on 07958782304 or on the club phone. If you would like to find out more about the course please look on the BHS website, or try me. Sara Allmey Cross Country Training The first cross country training held at Deep Mill Farm on 4th March with Chris Haywood was a huge success (despite the non stop rain from beginning to end !). After a big effort from new committee members Emma Reidy phoning round and encouraging members we ended up with 4 groups ranging from those with baby horses jumping 2ft to the "nutters" jumping the Open fences at 3’6’’ + see web site for write up and pictures. |
