A run down of past events and other things going on in the area ..... |
August 2007 .....
Hello All its been a while since you had an update from me and yes it is true if you have heard already I have moved out of the area to Mursley (Near Addington at the end of Aylesbury) I was entised away for a fantastic new opportunity for both me and Samson. I am working at a small Dressage Yard with International Dressage horses for Lindsey Roberts (Owner) and Lisa Hopkins (Rider www.primadressage.com) who competes Nemo III ("J" to his friends) at International Grand Prix we are off to the National in the middle of September which will be very exciting. After the last committee meeting with people expressing interest to come for a vist or even better Boot camp and after speaking with Lindsey and Lisa who believe British Dressage should do more together with Riding clubs, we will hopefully be arranging a weekend in the New Year for 4-5 horses which will be very good for the club so watch this Space. Needless to say Samson has settled in very well and likes being one of the boys he is not impressed with the horse walker though I have to say !!!! Me on the other hand well I'm just not the domesticated type and only cleaning for visitors is working quite well at the moment. As far as the club in concerned we are going to see how it works with running events but with the rest of the committtee being organised and more hands on there is no reason why things should not carry on as usual. Dont forget we need all hands on deck for the Open SHow on 2nd Sept .....See you there. Bec and Samson the end of May .... Well we ahve just had the last of the dressage challenge competitions and it was a shame this year we did not have so many members enter each time, maybe it might have had something to do with how hard the tests got all of a sudden ! I am glad to say Samson is back on form and did a very respectable Elimentary test , which I did get a comment formt he judge ablut the use of my spurs ....I would like to see her get him forward !!! ON the way in Jenny told me there was a low flying pigeon, I was hopeing it might follow me round the test for some impulsion ! Anyway lots to do for the show on Sunday so see you all there Bec -------------------------------------------------- We have unfortunately had to cancel the Eventer Trial for next weekend due to lack of entries, which is due to the ground conditions to be honest , who wants to jump on this it really is like concrete! I remember this time last year we were wondering if we would be able to hold it as it had rained so much . We are planning on holding it again nearer the end of the year so watch this space. I am in the final stages of the June show schedule sorry for delay it is really due to me now not working in an office but being a free lance groom that I do not have the office time I used to do catch up on club stuff thats why the committee often recieve emails at very strange hours of the night. Anyway Good luck to those going out and about this weekend , please emial the club and let us know how you are all getting on. It might be your first showing show or your first Prelim test we would love to hear. Thats all for now Bec |
